My two week tour of Morocco exceeded my expectations. Immediately, I knew that we were in capable hands with Ahmed as our guide, Mohamed as the driver and Jane handing our personal needs and requests. Ahmed is very educated, speaks many languages and is an ambassador for Morocco. Every day was a lesson on the history, culture and people of the locations we visited. I came away with a deep appreciation of Morocco and its culture and people.
Jeanne and I finished the Luxury Tour with Jane, Ahmed, and Mohamad. We were able to see the height of culture of the moroccan people as well as the Nomads living in makeshift encampments. We saw Roman ruins and dined at Rick’s Cafe. The shops in the Medina’s of the old walled cities and the outdoor markets in small villages where villagers arrived by foot, donkeys and horse drawn carts.
We had tea in an obscure tea room that would be impossible to experience without the local connections of our guide, Amed. He also took is into a home of one of his friends where we drank tea and picked pomegranates off their trees.
Wonderful experiences for all.
